Is a Charmed reboot centered on Leo and Piper, with Holly Marie Combs and Brian Krause, in the works?

More than fifteen years after the end of Charmed, the idea of a sequel or reboot continues to spark interest among fans. During their appearance in Paris for the Book of Shadows Con, Drew Fuller (Chris Halliwell), Holly Marie Combs (Piper Halliwell) and Brian Krause (Leo Wyatt) discussed the possibility of a project that would extend the universe of the cult series that aired from 1998 to 2006.

A Charmed reboot project called “Legacy” imagined by the actors

Drew Fuller explains that the idea has been circulating among them for a long time :

“This is something thats been joked about for a long time. But is actually really important to everyone. I know that if the opportunity comes to fruition, we’ll all jump at it.”

The actor specifies that this project, called Legacy, would be conceived as a direct continuation of the original series. He explains that this idea is a dream he has shared with Holly and Brian for years. “Legacy would continue the show the way it should’ve been done.“

The actor who played Chris may be referring to the Charmed reboot that aired between 2018 and 2022. Some actors from the original show voiced criticism about that series, including Holly Marie Combs. Members of the original cast indeed regretted not being contacted to take part in it.

A sequel centered on Piper and Leo ?

Piper and Leo are the most iconic relationship in Charmed. After leaving a mark on several generations of viewers, the two actors remain just as close today. They also share a podcast about the series with their fictional son, Drew Fuller. The actor hints at the narrative direction the cast has in mind for Legacy : “This series would start with Leo and Piper.”

Drew Fuller nevertheless stresses that no official project has been confirmed. However, the idea is still very much alive : “It’s something that we’ve talked about and continue to talk about and hope it will come to fruition at some point so never say never. If enough of you raise your voices, ask for it, it will happen.“
