Did Dorian Gregory enjoy working with the Halliwell sisters on Charmed?

While in Paris for the Book of Shadows Con convention, the actor behind Darryl Morris gave us an exclusive interview. Airing from 1998 to 2006, Charmed follows Prue, Piper, Paige, and Phoebe —modern-day witches facing supernatural forces— and left a lasting mark on an entire generation of viewers. Dorian Gregory opened up about his experience working alongside the Halliwell sisters on set. From Shannen Doherty to Alyssa Milano, including Holly Marie Combs and Rose McGowan, he tells us everything.

Dorian Gregory shares his thoughts on the actresses behind the Halliwell sisters

The actresses are likely among the main reasons behind the success of the cult series Charmed. And Dorian Gregory would agree. Despite tensions on set—particularly between Shannen Doherty and Alyssa Milano—the on-screen chemistry was undeniable. Darryl is one of the few characters who had the opportunity to build unique relationships with each of the Halliwell sisters. In this interview, the actor reflects on his experience with each of them.

Dorian Gregory began his statement with a touching tribute to the actress who played Prue Halliwell: Shannen Doherty.

I love Shannen. The complexity of her portrayal was always so powerful and beautiful.

He also praised the authenticity of Holly Marie Combs (Piper) and the eccentricity of Rose McGowan (Paige). However, he was more concise when speaking about Alyssa Milano (Phoebe). Gregory’s testimony highlights a point often raised by fans and observers: the complementary nature of Charmed’s female cast. Each actress brought a different energy, contributing to the show’s narrative balance. Watch his full comments in the video below.
