How did the cast film their last Stranger Things scene together?

Noah Schnapp reveals his favorite Stranger Things scene: an emotional final moment, shooting the last scene
Although the broadcast of Stranger Things came to an end a few months ago, the cast members are now taking advantage of their convention appearances to reflect on their filming memories. Among them, Noah Schnapp, who has portrayed Will Byers since the very first season, was in Paris this weekend for the Stranger Fan Meet 9 organized by People Convention. During his panel, he looked back on a scene that was particularly meaningful to him.
A symbolic last scene marking the end of Stranger Things
The actor explained that his favorite moment in the entire series is “probably the last scene we shot in the basement.” This choice carries strong symbolism, as he pointed out:
I love that scene, it was so special because that’s where it all started in that little room, and it was the same set, like our very first day of filming was in that room and our last day was in that room.
A unique atmosphere on set
Beyond the location itself, Noah Schnapp emphasized the emotional atmosphere during filming.
The energy on set was so special, because everyone was so present and aware of like each other and how special this is and like we just made the most of every second.
He also recalled the emotional intensity shared with his co-stars:
I remember being in the room with the kids and all holding each other after the scene was over and we just sat there for ten minutes crying in each other’s arms and no one wanted to let go or walk out because it meant like it was over. It was such a core memory.
A precious memory mixing emotion and friendship
Despite the emotional farewell, the day continued with a lighter and more playful moment. Noah Schnapp shared:
And then, I remember after it was over, we all decided to have a sleep over in the D&D basement set and we set up like the coolest little teepee like fort and my feet was on Sadie’s face, Caleb was fully clothed, it was just so funny and cute and wholesome, it was a special last day.
A key moment for fans of the series
This testimony highlights not only the importance of the basement within the narrative but also its significance for the actors themselves. Since its debut in 2016 on Netflix, Stranger Things has become a global phenomenon. The series is driven by a young cast that grew up alongside their characters.
Through his words, Noah Schnapp offers a sincere glimpse behind the scenes, capturing both the emotional weight and the genuine bonds formed during the series’ journey.
